Booking

Every ticket is for a date and a 20-minute entry window. Online tickets go on sale at midnight Japan time 2 weeks before the visit, and when an online slot sells out, the counter is sold out too. Slots from 15:00, which include sunset, cost the higher price.

Online tickets can be cancelled free until the day before. If the rooftop is closed for weather at your entry time, you can also cancel on the day, before you go in. Counter tickets cannot be cancelled.

SHIBUYA SKY’s own ticket site, Trip.com, KKday and Klook are the official sellers: SHIBUYA SKY on Klook, KKday. With Klook you show the mobile voucher and your passport at the 14th-floor entrance, with no exchange.

What you cannot take onto the rooftop

Bags, backpacks, tripods, selfie sticks, hats and food or drink go in lockers on the 46th floor; phones and cameras on a neck strap are fine. Suitcases and large luggage are not allowed in the building at all, so leave them at your hotel or a coin locker. The rooftop closes without notice in strong wind, rain or thunder, but the indoor floors stay open.

Opening hours and getting there

Open 10:00–22:30, last entry 21:20. There is no time limit inside, but no re-entry. SHIBUYA SKY is at the top of Shibuya Scramble Square, directly above Shibuya Station (underground exit B6): go to the 14th floor, most quickly by the outside lift from the 1st floor. The “Sky Lobby” in Shibuya Hikarie is a different place.

Questions

When do sunset tickets go on sale?
All slots open at midnight Japan time 2 weeks before the date. If you want sunset, book as soon as your date opens.
Is there a student price?
No. Since April 2025 everyone aged 12 and over pays the adult price.
What if it rains?
The rooftop may close, but the indoor 46th floor stays open. If the rooftop is closed at your entry time, online tickets can be cancelled that day before you go in.
